Missing NY

As the holidays approach and we're still in Ohio, I find myself missing New York a bit...

Here's a photo of the view off the back of the Lake Champlain ferry. Looking forward to seeing it again at Christmas time!

I can't recall how I came across your blog, but it is in my book marks and I was thrilled to see a picture of the ferry on Lake Champlain! It is so unusual to find another person from that area, so I was excited. Anyhow, hi! Have a good one.

Thanks so much for the comment - glad to hear from someone else from the North Country! Happy Thanksgiving!

Christmas will be here before you know it and you'll be "home" again....until then, enjoy your first Thanksgiving in your new home!! :)

I had to scrape off the car this morning ... do you miss that? Although we've had some beautiful blue sky days that make the cold easy to take. And the sunsets are always gorgeous from this side of the lake. So yeah, no complaints!

I miss the northeast too! Especially during this time of year. It always seemed it Thanksgiving was more Thanksgiving-y there. And I do miss the start of a "real" winter as the Holidays began. But I have to admit that being able to walk around in gorgeous 60 to 70 degree weather here in Vegas, in the midst of winter, is not too bad either....no shoveling required.

Yes, Gabe - the NE is the Thanksgiving-est. :)
